Parchment paper
A baking sheet


Preheat the oven to 240°F/115°C. Then, using your hands, break up the cannabis buds into smaller pieces and spread one layer on a parchment-lines rimmed baking sheet.

Don’t leave empty spaces between marijuana. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes. As soon as the cannabis turns darker in color and dried, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool.

Then, ground it coarsely in a blender or food processor. Keep it in an airtight glass container.

1 g decarboxylated marijuana
1 oz cold-pressed virgin coconut oil


In a glass jar, add the crushed marijuana and the coconut oil, tightly fit the lid and place in a saucepan filled with water. On low heat, slowly heat the water for an hour without boiling.

Then filter the solids in the oil with a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, and transfer it into another sturdy glass jar. Then, just squeeze the cannabis liquid into the oil.


You can consume the oil or use it topically. You can also eat the solids you extracted, cooked or baked in your meals. In addition, you can use this oil for cooking. However, be sure to avoid high temperatures so you do not cook out the active marijuana compounds.
