Shape Matters
A proper stool is log-like and S-shaped, not broken up into pieces. Part of getting that log-style form, in comparison with poo that comes out more pebbly-looking, comes from consuming fiber, which lends bulk to stool and acts as a glue to keep the stool stuck together as it exits your body. On the other hand, pencil-thin poops could be a sign of rectal cancer, which narrows the opening by way of which stool passes.
